November 2005 Teaticket PTO Minutes:
Meeting called to order 6:32. Greetings and welcome to new members. Comments from Principal Arth: Mrs. Boudrot's class won the pizza scavenger hunt at ‘Meet the Teacher Night’. He discussed the change in the grant for the fourth grade class to attend the Cape Cod Symphony. The PTO would only need to provide the bus at a cost of $136-140. The student admission would be covered by the grant. Motioned by Jan Souweine seconded by Kelly Crocker. Voted unanimously to pay for the bus. October PTO minutes accepted. Official vote for treasurer position taken. Deanne Rockwood voted in by majority. She is no longer just interim treasurer she will carry out the duty’s for the remainder of the 2005-2006 school year. Treasurer’s report presented by Deanne Rockwood. Actual report furnished upon request. Up and Coming Events: The UPS Store (in front of Kenyon's Market) will donate 5% of your holiday shipments between November 24th and December 24th to the Teaticket school! Use them for all of your shipping this holiday season. Holiday Fair: December 15th and 16th from 11:00 -1:00 Volunteers needed, contact Kelly Crocker at Teaticketma@yahoo.com. Sign-up sheets passed around. Ticketing party at Donna Skinners on the 14th. Future Events: Adventure Isle Night Sat.1/21/06. Jana Faiky and Yvonne Boots-Faubert, Deanne Rockwood and Kelly Crocker will Chair this event. PTO discussed and voted on $5.00 per person. If you can volunteer for this event contact Deanne at DEANNEROCK@aol.com. Any money the PTO raises for this event will go back to the classrooms in some form, i.e. school supplies, etc. Toy Drive: For Teaticket families and the Falmouth Service Center. Mrs. Larner will be involved. Providence Bruins Tickets: Lori Raber stated that she will Chair this event. New Ideas: Hat day / Pajama day - Each child that wishes to wear a hat or their P.J's can pay $1.00 (date TBA). All proceeds to be donated to charity. Ms. Miller suggested the money be donated to the Falmouth Service Center. Recap of Previous Events: The 1st Pizza night was a success! Thank you to Sue Picard(Chair) Fall Harvest Night - We had a large turnout and a great night. Thank you to Yvonne Boots-Faubert for all her hard work and to the many volunteers that helped make the night a success. Requests: Mrs. Chase requested $75.00 for a fourth grade workshop. Unanimous vote to cover this expense. Meet the Teacher Night Pizza Scavenger party was $22.00. Unanimous vote to cover this expense. **Mrs. Dwyer and the F.I.G.S. group will do the newspaper again this year. Fourth Grade parent needed to work as a liaison.
